Wool Fabrics Now Available

So it's now fall & winter will be here before you know it. Clothes are getting cozier to keep the cold out so why shouldn't our purses get a cozier feel too? Lucky Zelda now has several different wools to get your favorite seasons into your favorite piece of your wardrobe; purses!!!

Below are a few swatch cards of our our new fabrics. There is a 12 ounce can of soda in each photo to show the size and scale.

Swatch #5 is vintage pink wool embroidered with flowers & stems. Swatch #7 is a classic plain camel color.

For plaids, the fabric can be cut on the straight grain like this:
(this purse was a one-of-a-kind & is no longer available)

Plaids can also be cut on the bias to look like this:
(this black & white purse is still available in all three sizes)

Please leave a comment below if you would like a wool Lucky Zelda purse custom made for you.

Go Shopping With Lucky Zelda!

The shopping season is here! Back-to-school shopping, quickly followed by increased grocery shopping for Halloween candy, Thanksgiving dinner and then, of course, Christmas gift shopping!!! I take my Lucky Zelda shopping bags with me, no matter the type of shopping. Why only save the planet in the grocery store? Take your reuseable Lucky Zelda market bags to the mall!

It has occurred to me recently that my inventory of Lucky Zelda market bags has dwindled considerably. With the fall & winter craft show season quickly approaching I've got to rectify that situation! So recently added to my Etsy shop are two new, one-of-a-kind, market bags. Other market bags will be added soon so be sure to check back often.

If you are interested in a custom market bag, please comment here with your ideas & I'll do my best to accommodate you!

Treasured Treasury

It's been a while since I've poseted about the treasuries fellow Etsy sellers have included Lucky Zelda in. So, I've decided to pick up that tradition again & share the most recent collection.

Jurooma is an amazing felt artist that put together a treasury entitled "Flame". Jurooma has a wonderful eclectic mix of all things flames & did a beautiful job with this treasury. I'm thrilled to have been included by way of my black purse with red flames.

Take a moment to check the treasury out and please stop by Jurooma's shop. This beautiful lily brooch is one of my favorites in the shop.

Meet Some New Friends

This afternoon I attended Patchwork Indie Arts & Crafts Festival's Vendor Mixer. It's always a great event. We vendors of the show(s) actually get a chance to meet one another & chat about our craft & ideas & just plain get to know one another. There's certainly hardly any time for that the day of the show. Nicole & Delilah are so generous in putting the Vendor Mixer together. The event today was great, as usual & Lucky Zelda would like to introduce you to a few vendors that were at the mixer.

I was thrilled to see Jenn of Traditionally Unique at the mixer. Jenn's booth was behind Lucky Zelda at the Patchwork Holiday show in Santa Ana last year. Her items are beautifully made and she's got a great variety of product. Her clothing & jewelry are beautifull & she offers great cloth napkins (that are double sided) to make your home more earth friendly & beautiful at the same time.

Molly of Molly Made Me is a diversely talented gal who is joining the Patchwork family for the first time this spring. Let me tell you, she loves herself some yarn! Molly's got a great variety of product, from head warmers, felted soap (pictured here) even a great shrug for your pup!

Last but not least is Kimmmy of Kimmy Phi. Kimmy is new to southern California & is also a newbie to the Patchwork family. A talented seamstress, jewelry & accessory maker you're sure to find something to take home with you from her booth. Please check out these shops online & by all means come to the Patchwork shows to meet them in person.

Who You Callin' Cry Baby?

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a crier. I don't even need a reason. Sometimes I just think, I due for a good cry, so I do. I come from a family of criers. Our motto is "No one cries alone". So, in thinking of a new Lucky Zelda product that would compliment our current items, Cry Babies came to be.

Need to dab your eyes during Sunday's sermon & don't want to announce it to the whole congregation with that noisy plastic tissue wrapper? Your allergies going nuts-o and that plastic wrapped has just decided to self-destruct in your purse? (Yes, these both happen to me regularly). Well, Lucky Zelda's Cry Babies to the rescue!!!!

All Cry Babies are fully lined and top stitched for strength & style. There will be Cry Babies to match or coordinate current Lucky Zelda purses. Because Cry Babies are small and flat shipping rates are cheap! They are small enough to fit in your pocket or purse but rest assured, your Lucky Zelda Cry Baby is large enough to hold an entire "Pocket Pack" of tissue. Or you can save your local landfill that plastic wrapper and fill 'er up with folded up full-sized facial tissues.

Keep an eye on Lucky Zelda's Etsy shop for new Cry Babies in the future.

Here are are few of the Cry Babies currently available.

Please not that fabric patterns may differ slightly from photographs.

Lucky Zelda has had some requests for a side-by-side size comparison on the three purse sizes available: 6, 8 and 10 inches. The size is equal to the length of the bar of the purse frame.

Below you will find photos for you to use as visual aids to help you choose the Lucky Zelda purse that is right for you.

Here are all three sizes all lined up. Front to back: 6", 8", 10"
